- Cats- We have two new cat pieces to start off the new year (better late than never!):
The Enchanted Keyring features a beautiful black cat and an enchanted keyring.
Spring Door is a magical springtime piece with a ladybug kitten and an enchanted doorknocker.
- Sales- We still have a bunch of overstock items in our Sales gallery so be sure to check them out!
- Shipping- International rates are completely brutal with the new hike in postal costs- shipping literally doubled or tripled. Unfortunately we've had to up our shipping prices to compensate for this huge jump (and it's still not often enough to cover the actual cost).
- Coming Soon- We have a lot of new items coming up in the next few months, including new tin styles, lockets, necklaces, bracelets & ornaments. We will likely be adding them to the site slowly over the next few months and will send out a newsletter with a recap & new paintings, so keep an eye on the website in between newsletter updates!

- Greeting Cards- Due to many requests we've added Christmas

- Shipping- We will be offering FREE shipping on all items (except prints larger than 8x10") within the US and Canada and $5 shipping (except prints larger than 8x10") everywhere else through November 15, 2012 to celebrate the grand re-opening of our shop
since the birth of Melissa & Tim's baby two months ago. This shipping special will automatically be applied to all orders in the shopping cart once you select your country and click "Recalculate." If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us!

- Cats- We know it's a little early, but because we will be closing up shop in a week through late October, or more likely early November, we have a new Halloween kitty today, so if you want to enjoy his cuteness this Halloween you can order him in time!
The Pumpkin patch features a handsome black cat with his mouse and spider friends in his very own pumpkin patch.
- Charmed Cameos & Large Lockets- Until July 16 you can order Charmed Cameos and Large Lockets for the first time since Melissa got pregnant, so be sure to order without delay if you'd like one before we re-open our shop in early November!! They are available until July 16 only,
as we will be doing just one batch of them.
- Shows- Next weekend is our last show for quite a while- Cornucopia Days is in Kent, WA, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday July 13-15. Please visit our Appearances page for the details! Melissa plans to be
there all three days, but we will keep the website updated if she needs to take a day off. We hope to see you there! We will have a lot of merchandise and some blowout clearance sales as we try to make room for baby!!

- Product Changes- We are very happy to announce we have found a supplier of glass cameo cabs, so our Charmed Cameos and Large Lockets now feature this beautiful new type of cab. Glass cabs are flatter, sparklier, more scratch-resistant, and contain a larger image than acrylic cabs, so
we know you'll love this change! We've also gotten such good feedback on the epoxy covers we use in our Square Pendants and Round Lockets that
our Small Lockets, Cameo Earrings, Mini Cameos, and Crystal Cameos are now made with these epoxy covers as well.
- Halloween Orders- Melissa will be visiting her family at the beginning of October, so while you'll be able to order like normal, all orders placed between September 29 and October 10 will begin shipping October 13. That means if you'd like a Halloween print or jewelry, we recommend ordering it
in September that way you'll be able to enjoy it for all of October :)

- Appearances- "Spring Meadows" was actually painted for the Spring Fairy Festival 2011 poster, as Melissa was invited to be the Featured Guest Artist this year. The Spring Fairy Festival takes place in Auburn, Washington on April
16, 2011 from 11am-6pm. We hope you'll come see us there! The festival will be giving away 50 small prints of "Spring Meadows."
- Product Changes- Shadowbox Pendants and Filigree Crystal Earrings have sold out; at this point we're not sure if we can restock them. Gift Tins and Gift Tin Sets will change a little as well, since our supplier has permanently discontinued the square gift tins. We have several new gift tin styles that will replace them beginning later this month. The new
gift tins are round and come in two different sizes!

- Holiday Shipping- In order to ensure your Christmas packages arrive on time, please order as soon as possible. November & December are our busiest months, so while we try our best to get orders out quickly, order processing time may be up to 10 days. We are always happy to provide you with an update on your shipping status
if you send us an email with the date of your order, your name, and which site you ordered on. Due to the sheer volume of orders we do not typically notify you when your order has shipped. For orders within the US, Domestic Priority Mail shipping will begin December 1, with a flat fee of $5.00 for every order and 2-3 business day delivery (this does
not include processing time). International
orders should be placed as soon as possible since shipping can take up to a month! Orders placed before 12 Noon Pacific Standard Time on December 18 will ship by December 21st. While you may still order on the website after December 18, we will not be shipping out orders until January 5 since we will be taking a much-needed holiday break :)

- Round Compact Mirrors- Our new round compact mirrors are truly one of our most stunning items! These bright silver mirrors are slim and elegant, with a glossy print on the front that you'll love showing off.
- Other Updates- Melissa is making way for some new necklace designs, so our Classic Cameos have been discontinued. There have been several changes to our Charmed Cameos and lockets as well.

- Appearances- Renton, WA Art Walk- August 28 from 11-5 PM. Melissa and Tim will be there with prints and lots of merchandise, including Pumpkin Cat Magic and possibly a new painting that won't be released for another month.

- Licensing- Melissa recently signed with an amazing company called Mystic Pacific. Mystic Pacific has officially licensed Melissa's work to make tote bags, stationary, keychains, coffee travel mugs, water bottles & more! Many of these items are already up, with lots more to come in the next few weeks.

Prints, magnets and tins will be available in the Crescent Moon Gifts booth at Faerieworlds! Melissa will be doing a signing in their booth from 3-5 PM on Saturday, July 31. in their booth (booth # 3110 on the map).

rest of the time we will be working in Amy Brown's booth (booth #5102 & 5103), so feel free to stop by and say hi! If you would like us to bring any additional items for you such as jewelry,
let us know by Tuesday night and we will give you an invoice with festival prices and no shipping charges!
- Store Finder- Prints (including 11x14" large prints), some compact mirrors, and some tins can now be found in downtown Tacoma, WA at Crescent Moon Gifts. Crescent Moon Gifts
is an incredible store with the best selection of figurines we've ever seen-- it can take several hours to see everything there! Fairies, dragons, griffins, Greenman, cats, foxes, Egyptian... you name it, they have it! So be sure to check it out if you're in the area :)

- Masterpiece Memos- Melissa has signed with Hannah Lynn of Masterpiece Memos. Hannah creates gorgeous memo prints that can be framed and then used as a dry erase board. She even has smaller ones in magnets that fit perfectly on your fridge for grocery lists, to-do lists, and whatever else you can think of! Melissa will
be up on Hannah's site Masterpiece Memos shortly, and we will be stocking some of the memo items as well.
- Appearances- Washington folks, Melissa Dawn Art will have a booth July 9-11 at Kent Cornucopia Days! We will bring many of our beautiful items for you to puruse, and if you have any special requests, let us know and we'll be sure to bring it! - What's next- Melissa is working on the final piece in her "Moon Pearl" series, as well as the July Fairy Birthstone Cat. Melissa & Tim are moving up to Washington at the beginning of June, so orders placed

- New Galleries- Since Melissa's "Animals" gallery contained an overwhelming number of cats and just one other animal, we've decided to add a new gallery just for Melissa's fairy cats! You can view all of her fairy cats in our Fairy Cats gallery. Melissa's series can also be found in the Fairy Cats sub-galleries,
including Birthstone Fairy Cats and Key Kittens.
- As always, don't forget to keep your eye on Melissa's Etsy shop for items not found here on melissadawnart.com! We have a variety of ornament frames and other special items that we'll be adding to Etsy throughout this month.

- Classic Cameos- Melissa has also redesigned our Classic Cameos. The new cameo settings are slightly smaller and much lighter, and incredibly shiny-- these little beauties are irresistible!
- Licensing- We are thrilled to announced that Melissa has been signed with Heaven and Earth Designs cross-stitching, so cross-stitchers can now stitch most of Melissa's paintings! There are currently five patterns available for purchase, and another ten
should by up by the end of the week.

- To celebrate the start of Melissa's favorite season, 5x7 and 8x10" prints are on sale!!! Melissa's beautiful prints are still available at festival prices.
- Fairytale Wreaths and Fairytale Boxes have been removed from the website and will be available only at shows from now on; cat angel prints "Snuggle Angels" and "Silver Cat Dreams" have been retired.
- We hope you like the improvements on the website! Melissa has redone most of the jewelry pictures, with some new key designs as well. Classic Cameos are undergoing some changes and will be available shortly! Also, our 40x30mm gold antique cameo settings have been backordered; if you order one of the chaarmed
cameos with this setting, you can choose to wait until the settings arrive, choose an alternate gold setting, or go with the silver setting.
